Sandesh Foundation, in collaboration with Apollo Tyres Foundation, is actively involved in a
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project focused on solid waste management. This project,
called CMTN, operates in Transport Nagar, Samaypur, Delhi, with the aim of making a positive impact
on society and the environment.
The Solid Waste Management Project addresses the challenges associated with waste management in the
targeted area. It aims to implement effective waste management practices, promote waste segregation,
recycling, and waste reduction techniques.
By doing so, the project seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of improper waste
disposal and contribute to a cleaner and healthier living environment for the community. Overall,
the Solid Waste Management Project reflects the commitment of Sandesh Foundation and Apollo Tyres
Foundation to address the environmental challenges related
to waste management and make a positive impact on the community in Transport Nagar, Samaypur, Delhi.
The partnership between Sandesh Foundation and Apollo Tyres Foundation strengthens their combined
efforts to tackle the issue of solid waste management in Transport Nagar, Samaypur.
Through this CSR project, the foundations may undertake activities such as awareness campaigns,
waste segregation drives, establishing waste collection and disposal systems, supporting recycling
initiatives and providing the capacity building & awareness training to the stakeholders. While the former can be attributed to poor implementation
of public health programs, the latter is due to demographic transition, with an increase in life
expectancy.
They may also collaborate with local authorities and engage community members to create awareness
about the importance of proper waste management and encourage their active participation in
maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. The Foundation
also believes that every citizen has the right to good healthcare in terms of safe nutritional and
hygiene practices and is committed to the society by organizing regular health camps for all such
health issues.
